The Embassy of India in Lisbon has received word that the India Chem 2021 exhibition will take place, partially online, from 17-19 March 2021. The initiative has been organised by the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers, Government of India, in association with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). The theme of this 11th edition of India Chem is “India: Global Manufacturing Hub for Chemicals and Petrochemicals”.
Originally set to take place at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai on 8-10 October 2020, the physical event venue has been rescheduled and relocated to the Taj Palace Hotel, New Delhi, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This edition will be held with limited participation and will also be hosted on a digital platform along with a digital exhibition. Portuguese participants will therefore not have to travel to India to join the event.
