Bharat International Rice Conference Expo (BIRC) 2026 will be held at the Bharat Mandapam venue (Hall No. 4 and 5) in New Delhi from 23-25 October 2026.
Organised by the Indian Rice Exporters’ Federation (IREF), BIRC 2026 aims to attract stakeholders from across the global rice value chain, including international buyers, exporters, policymakers, logistics providers, millers, technology companies, quality inspection agencies, shipping lines, Custom House Agents (CHAs) and financial institutions.
The event may prove interesting for Portuguese stakeholders engaged in imports of rice, including varieties that are not grown in Portugal like Basmati or Jasmine. In terms of exports, there might be scope to promote Portuguese varieties such as Agulha and Carolino in the Indian market.
Compared to the 2025 edition, BIRC 2026 is going to be nearly three times larger, with an estimated business-day participation of 30,000 persons, over 300 exhibitors and foreign delegates from more than 120 countries. The event includes a third-day food festival with targeted invitations to 500,000 affluent households as well as a VIP business Lounge and 9 curated experience zones.
