Portuguese wine producer of dry wines, located in the Lisbon Region and Alenquer DOC.

We are a family-owned and run grape grower and winery, producing dry wines in Lisbon Region and DOC Alenquer.  Our family has been growing grapes and making wines since 1920; nowadays our wines are made with a combination of state-of-the-art technology, traditional practices, and decades-long knowledge.

Our 30-hectare vineyards are located around Serra do Montejunto, planted in moderate hills and plateaus, clay and limestone soils with south-east exposure. The specificities of the vineyards and Serra do Montejunto particular climatic conditions allow for an impressive terroir driven expression of our varietals, mostly autochthones.The most planted varieties in our estate are Arinto, chardonnay, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Syrah, Alicante Bouschet and Castelão.

We take pride in the dedication and attention given to soil, vine, grapes and climate, which allow us to produce wine with minimal intervention and full expression of terroir.  Additionally, we take part in the procedures of ”Integrated production mode” and our vineyards are respects agro – environmental measures.
Our grapes are manually harvested in the cool of the night to preserve the fruit flavors. After being carefully selected for quality, they follow to a crusher-destemmer with rubber rolls. Fruit is fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks.

Our red wines undergo long maceration processes to allow for maximal color extract and aroma compounds as well as tannins. Red wine aging is done shortly (6-9 months), aging in French oak barrels followed by a minimum bottle aging of 6 months before market released.

One of our most recent brands has been specially developed to target the young wine drinkers market, with a youthful, trendy and vibrant label and marketing strategy. Within this brand we produce white, rose and red references using Arinto, Chardonnay, Touriga Nacional and Syrah varieties.

Our other brand is a well-established reference, present in the Portuguese market for over 50 years, mostly targeting restaurant business, with two varieties, white and red.

At the moment, we have an on-going internationalization program set in place for both brands and are export ready.
