The Portuguese Entrepreneurial Association (AEP) was the organizer, with the support of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Portugal – Angola and AICEP Portugal Global, of the presence of Portuguese companies in the 33rd edition of the International Fair of Luanda (FILDA), between 26 And 30 July, in Luanda Bay, Angola.
The Portuguese mission, which had 17 companies, joined sectors of strong implementation in the Angolan market in the areas of construction, agri-food, engineering, metalmechanics and ceramics. Five of the companies that participated in AEP’s mission have already been present in previous editions of the fair and are already regular exporters to this market, but for the remaining twelve this was the first time in FILDA.
The Portuguese presence at FILDA’s main objective was to consolidate and strengthen trade relations between the two countries, creating new business opportunities in sectors that are already traditionally exporting to that country.
Angola is an important trading partner of Portugal, mainly as an export destination. Although exports declined slightly in recent years, the balance of Portuguese trade balance is strongly positive, surpassing EUR 2.2 billion in 2015. With a population of around 21 billion, Angola ranks sixth in the ranking of Portuguese exports and the 9th in imports.

FILDA: AEP com empresas portuguesas em Luanda
A AEP – Associação Empresarial de Portugal foi a organizadora, com o apoio da Câmara de Comércio e Indústria Portugal – Angola e da AICEP Portugal Global, da presença das empresas portuguesas na 33ª edição da Feira Internacional de Luanda (FILDA), entre os dias 26 e 30 de julho, na Baía de Luanda, em Angola.
A missão portuguesa, que contou com 17 empresas, juntou setores de forte implantação no mercado angolano das áreas da construção, agroalimentar, engenharia, metalomecânica e cerâmica. Cinco das empresas que integraram a missão da AEP já marcaram presença em edições anteriores do certame e são já exportadores regulares para este mercado, mas para as restantes doze esta foi a primeira vez na FILDA.
A presença portuguesa na FILDA teve como principal objetivo consolidar e reforçar as relações comerciais entre os dois países, abrindo novas oportunidades de negócio em setores que já são tradicionalmente exportadores para aquele país.
Angola é um importante parceiro comercial de Portugal, principalmente enquanto destino de exportação. Embora nos últimos anos as exportações tenham registado um ligeiro decréscimo, o saldo da nossa balança comercial é fortemente positivo, tendo superado os 2,2 mil milhões de euros em 2015. Com cerca de 21 mil milhões de habitantes, Angola ocupa o sexto lugar no ranking das exportações portuguesas e o nono nas importações.
